My Mom, My Hero...

MY MOM, MY HERO....

MY MOM HAS TAUGHT ME WELL!

Whatever I am today, whatever I have achieved...I owe to my mom. She has taught me well.

My mom was not the typical mom who would wake up very early in the morning to prepare breakfast for us. Nor is she the type who will cook merienda for us while we are still in school, so that by the time we get home, there would be a hot cup of chocolate and pancakes waiting for our much-deserved snacks.

Mama is very intelligent. I admire her for what she knows and for being so cool about it. Ask her any question and she is always beaming with the right answer. (I wonder how she did that). She often challenges my values, my convictions - making sure that I keep the right values close to my heart always, and get rid of the things that destroy both the body, mind and spirit.

When I started to grow up and became conscious of my physical "form,"my mom would always highlight what she thinks is good about me. I mean, she would always comment on how good I carry myself and the way I quickly warm up with people.

She has always been fair with me, likewise, telling me what and where to improve on. Always pushing me to read so I would improve on my vocabulary.

I remember telling her about the guys I meet and the guys that interests me? I will never get a "spanking" for that. As a matter of fact, she appreciates my honestly and openness and would always remind me to stay on the safe and clean side. She was diplomatic enough to push back on things that might lead to wrong decisions and makes me understand when she wants to drive home a point.

The people that I talk to would sometimes ask me where I get such wisdom. With pride and much sweet remembrance, I tell them its coming right from the heart of my earthly mentor and hero, none other than my mom.

I know its also a pool of learnings gathered from past experiences, but without a mother guiding you as you go through life, my paths would have been different. I will not deny it, there were times when I'd listen to my mom and do the exact opposite. I tell you, I have learned my lessons ever since.

Even at the point where she was old and getting weaker physically, she was still full of wisdom. I have always enjoyed talking with her because there were always new things and revelations that I will learn from her. Learning never stops when I am with mom. She was the best, if not the bestest.

So, why do I love my mom?

 1. She was God's gift to me. From her, I learned everything that I needed to survive in this challenging world.

 2. She taught me the real meaning of love (outside of emotions and beyond words) forgiveness, patience and grace.

 3. She was a mother who took care of all our needs.

 4. She was a friend who took time to listen whether I had a happy or sad story to tell.

 5. She was my teacher, my mentor and my one & only coach : teaching me what really matters in this world.

I can only thank God for my mom because without her, I would not have been brought out into this world and enjoy the life I now enjoy.

I am grateful for every minute that I have spent with her when she was still alive. It was out of pure love and selflessness and sacrifice. I love you mama. You are the best. You will always be.

Tugu Tani Tragedy

My opinion are:

From the human side, it still deserved the tragedy victims' families angry, resentful and even blaspheming the offender. It is humane, because they lose people they love in a very short time in a tragic and cruel as well. Then what about those who have nothing to do with the incident? We follow it proper angry, sad, or even laugh? 
But instead it is simply an expression of emotion for a moment only, not to expressions of emotion are maintained so that the resulting disruption, ental and the psychology of the person causing the disruption of activities of such person in his life menjalanani fore. Toch with the perpetrator of such blasphemy, the situation can not go back as before, life must go on and do not stop here. 
Try to hold back, get closer to God, and try to continue to voluntarily. Let this case be resolved by officers authorized by law in Indonesia. Do not want to ride by people who would take advantage of this event shortly, be it media, politicians, celebrities. Keep the spirit to live this life again, because it was never able to be turned away, let alone told to wait. But it still continues to oversee the legal process of this case, in order not to deviate much from a sense of justice. 
Of the offender and his family are expected to have a good etikat and sense of responsibility to the families of the victims. Apologiens should be conveyed directly to the victim, were able to give compensation to them as proof of your responsibility and your good intentions. 
Stop blaspheming, abused because it will surely come back to yourself and will not affect the state. 
I think the death penalty, or life is not fair to him. Because it was no foul committed by Afriani sister, and besides what's in it for him to accidentally hit those people. So let the law enforcement agencies we work in peace without the intervention of outside forces that try to confuse the situation lead opinion. Besides, with current conditions Afriani and his family also has received from the public morals, not to mention later Afriani will hold the title of a former prisoner of his life. 
Think positive and confident behind it all there must be a silver lining. What we must do now is that it does not happen again for all the people of Indonesia and the world.
